Alpharetta, USA - September 17, 2024 - Titan Forge Games announced that the first update for SMITE 2’s 24/7 Closed Alpha stage is now live, with two new fan-favourite gods added to the game. Nu Wa and Amaterasu join the roster, bringing new dynamic playstyles to the game.
Nu Wa is the Chinese goddess of order and creation known for creating humanity and repairing the pillars of Heaven. In SMITE 2, she excels at crowd control and area damage. Her ultimate ability strikes all enemies on the map with a powerful celestial beam.
Amaterasu is based on the Shinto sun goddess, considered the ruler of the heavens and one of the most important deities in Japanese mythology. Her abilities revolve around auras that enhance her team's power and movement speed and sword attacks that deal impressive damage.
This new update also adds community-requested Ranked Features including the Role Preference System and Ranked Leaderboards, a new tutorial to help players jump into Arena Mode, and Co-op Mode improvements. Titan Forge Games is also bringing back Pyromancer to Conquest.
In addition, new players are invited to watch the SMITE 2 Founder’s Series open qualifications that started on September 14. The final event with a $300k Prize Pool will take place in HyperX Arena Las Vegas on January 17-19, 2025. Players can learn more about the Founder’s Series on the official website.
For guaranteed access to the closed testing, the Founder’s Edition can be purchased on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Epic Games Store.
