March 13, 2024 - Hooded Horse and Firesquid are pleased to announce that TactiCon, the digital convention dedicated to uplifting strategy games of all kinds, is returning for its third year! First run in September 2022, this exciting Steam event has grown bigger and better each year, and the 2024 edition runs from July 18 - 22, 2024.
Whether grand strategy, 4X, SRPG, turn-based deckbuilding, RTS, or anything in between, TactiCon 2024 aims to provide a platform to promote the best and brightest this kaleidoscope of subgenres has to offer. The event will feature demos for the most promising upcoming games, discounts on released titles, and a full schedule of panels, talks, and developer livestreams. We’re also bringing back the TactiCon showcase, which will be packed full of announcements and footage from the most exciting upcoming strategy games.
Game submissions are officially open as of today, and developers can submit their projects and/or exclusive announcements via this form.
For a game to be eligible for the event, it must meet the following criteria:
- The game has a live Steam page at the time of submission.
- At least one of the following statements is true:
- The game released – either into 1.0 or into Steam Early Access – after May 18, 2023.
- The game (Early Access or 1.0) has had a major DLC or game update since May 18, 2023.
- If it’s an upcoming game, it will have a playable demo ready in time for the start of the event (July 18, 2024).
The deadline for submission is 3 pm PT / Midnight CEST on May 8, 2024, and submission results will be communicated no later than May 31, 2024.
Submissions are also still open for anyone who wants to contribute to the show via talks and panels. The deadline for panel participation is April 21st, and you can register your interest via this form.
