With many games in the market polishing and modernizing classic board game mechanics, Tekton Dash emerged as something different - born from a desire to create pure, unbridled fun. It grew from those perfect gaming moments we all love: when someone pulls off a devious move and the whole table erupts in laughter.
The goal was simple: capture that special mix of strategy and pandemonium that makes game nights memorable.
Indie art studio DanchieGo created the world of Tektonia, where players become Dashers partnering with quirky builders called Tektons. Your mission? Race through a 90-minute session, complete two-sided blueprint missions, and cause plenty of mayhem along the way. Designed for 3-6 players, Tekton Dash focuses on hilarious comebacks rather than pure competition. Deploy power-up cards, use special skills, and trick other players - or focus on methodical strategy. Your playstyle determines your Tekton personality, revealed through the Tektonpedia (a horoscope-style guide showing your partner's quirks and abilities). Sabotage too many times, and you'll transform into a Mekton - a chaos-induced Tekton who's lost their building sanity. The game brings Tektonia to life through premium wooden and acrylic components, featuring a 3D paper board that transforms the table into a builder's playground.
While Tekton Dash started as a passion project, the studio has ambitious plans for its Kickstarter launch this year. Beyond the physical board game, they're developing a digital version with extended gameplay features. This digital edition will include tournament mode, an 11-player real-time Mayhem mode, and (if stretch goals are met) a story mode featuring unique stages and adventures.
