London (15th April, 2024) – SQUARE ENIX® invites Warriors of Light to enjoy all-new Dawntrail™ footage with the newly released FINAL FANTASY™ XIV: Dawntrail official benchmark software for Windows now available for download. Featuring new in-game areas, enemies and more showcasing the exciting additions to come with the expansion alongside the first graphical update for the game, the benchmark software gives players a chance to test their computer’s ability to run FINAL FANTASY XIV ahead of the Dawntrail launch on Tuesday 2nd July, 2024.
The benchmark software offers users the ability to create a character, or import an existing one, to be featured in the benchmark’s real-time cutscenes. In addition to the existing playable races in the character creator, users will be able to create female Hrothgar: a new playable race debuting alongside Dawntrail. The appearance data of characters created using the benchmark can also be saved for use in the Windows version of the game.

As part of the latest Letter from the Producer LIVE broadcast, Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida also discussed a number of updates and changes to come with the release of Dawntrail, alongside the results of the recent 10th Anniversary player survey. The FINAL FANTASY XVI crossover questline, titled “The Path Infernal,” is currently available until Wednesday 8th May. Players who complete the quests will be able to receive multiple FINAL FANTASY XVI-themed in-game rewards. FINAL FANTASY XIV Online is now available for Xbox Series X|S, allowing for more players on the Xbox family of consoles to join the Warriors of Light in Eorzea and beyond! Until 19th April, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can claim a copy of the Starter Edition, which includes A Realm Reborn™, Heavensward™, and Stormblood™—the equivalent of three full FINAL FANTASY titles. Players who purchase the Xbox version or claim the Starter Edition through Perks by 19th April will also receive fun and useful in-game items to assist them on their journey, including Menphina’s earring (30% EXP boost when defeating enemies, up to level 80) and a wind-up Palom minion (vanity pet).
