Aalborg, Denmark, February 24, 2025 - It’s time to lace up your boots, as CinderCat Games is ready to reign chaos down on Steam Next Fest with an all-new demo for GLUM! The demo, which is showcased in a brand-new trailer below, will be available from today, February 24 until March 3 but be warned - the demo will no longer be available following the end of Steam Next Fest, so be sure to act fast!
GLUM, which releases into Steam Early Access later this year, is a First-Person Booter starring the titular antisocial goblin Glum, who finds himself tasked with a quest well above his minion paygrade after his boss is kidnapped. And so, with his magical boot and a serious chip on his shoulder, Glum embarks on a journey of magical ass-kickery and whimsical violence.
GLUM - Steam Next Fest Demo Trailer 🤘
This Steam Next Fest, players will be able to get hands-on with GLUM’s ‘Menace System’, which highlights all the funny, wacky and crude actions and combinations they can pull off as Glum enacts his mission of violence.
In order to rack up Menace Points and be rewarded with a bronze, silver or gold boot, players are tasked with pulling off various Menace Actions for their creative sadism:

Kick an enemy into a nearby toilet to receive the Menace Action called "Flush"

Fire a wheel of cheese into your enemies’ groins to be rewarded with the Menace Actions called "Yeast Infection"

Kill an enemy by hitting them mid-air with the Bootzooka ability to receive the Menace Action "Duck Hunt"

Kill an enemy by kicking a sausage into their head to be rewarded with the Menace Action "German Buffet"
Additionally, during Steam Next Fest, players will have the opportunity to explore a revamped level with all-new combat encounters, explorations, and puzzles - as well as some Garden Gnomes to collect (and to smash).
