Underground Security Inc has players attempt to build the most profitable dungeon while repelling parties of adventuring heroes. Players will manage their minions, mine ores, build traps and collect ancient tomes in this roguelite meets base defense genre-mashup.
Gameplay:
During the day, players plan out their defenses, expand their dungeon, and prepare against the would-be-adventurers that will knock on the doors at night.
Players manage a workforce of minions that can be assigned to complete various tasks throughout the dungeon:
- Mine for valuable ores and expand dungeon rooms
- Build and upgrade traps to improve security
- Channel rituals for unique effects
- Deploy minions to guard against the next wave of adventurers
Most minions can only be assigned to certain tasks and some have unique abilities which are triggered when assigned. Only a handful of minions are available each day, so players must make tough choices on which aspects of their dungeon needs the most work!
Each run sees a player start with a set of basic minions, but throughout the run they will choose from powerful new minions to hire. Minions can also be augmented with various perks to create new and exciting synergies.
Players will also be offered a random selection of building plans, spells and ancient tomes. Building plans allow players to unlock new buildings, while spells can be cast during the night to aid in the fight against intruders. Ancient tomes provide unique on-going effects, permanently boosting certain aspects of the dungeon.
