‘THE IRON RIG’ EXPANSION REVEALED FOR MULTI-AWARD-WINNING DREDGE ALONGSIDE COLLECTOR’S EDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Something stirs in the deep as Black Salt Games’ indie fishing adventure lures players back in with a new storyline, new fish to catch, new boat upgrades and gadgets, and more, on 15th August.

Saturday, 8th June 2024 – Black Salt Games and Team17 Digital have today revealed ‘The Iron Rig’, the second expansion for the multi-award-winning indie fishing adventure DREDGE, arriving on 15th August on Steam, GOG, Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows10.

Following the launch of The Pale Reach last year, The Iron Rig is the game’s second premium expansion and will see players revisiting every area from the base game with renewed purpose. Intended to be started at any time during their DREDGE adventure, players will work with the Ironhaven Corporation and collect resources to build a formidable base of operations, unlocking new tiers of equipment, abilities, gadgets, and consumables.

 The Iron Rig awaits:

As the drilling operation on the rig intensifies, something stirs in the primordial depths. A dark liquid begins to seep into familiar and once-safe areas of the game, transforming them into perilous zones. Players must carefully assess the impact of this mysterious substance on local fish species, unveiling peculiar specimens from the abyssal depths as they go about adding more than 50 new fish to the game’s encyclopaedia. The Iron Rig expansion adds a new tier of fishing equipment, as well as new characters to interact with, new hazards to overcome, and new world events and lore to uncover.

The Iron Rig will release priced at $11.99/€11.99/£11.99.

Coming November, the DREDGE Collector’s Edition is now available for preorder1 and contains, the base game and all DLC’s; exclusive artwork and reversable inlay; a 10cm3 replica of the mysterious Sign of Ruin talisman; A double sided poster; a map; a complete compendium of all fish and their aberrant variants; a message in a bottle from Black Salt Games; and a metal doubloon coin all housed in a layered box featuring exclusive artwork.

The DREDGE Collector's Edition will be available in the USA, Europe, and Australasia and priced at £99.99/€99.99/$99.99.

For those yet to explore DREDGE’s sinister waters, a Complete Edition will be available digitally on 15th August on all platforms, containing all content from Blackstone Key, The Pale Reach, and The Iron Rig.

DREDGE is developed by Black Salt Games and is available to purchase now on Steam, GOG, Nintendo eShop, PlayStation®Store, and Microsoft Store. Deluxe versions are available at retail and digitally.
