Major Update 1: Waste Land
A vast new map, Waste Land, was introduced, serving as a heavily guarded landfill under the control of M.E.G.A.-Corp. Commanders now infiltrate this hostile terrain, facing off against the deadly GriftLift drone. Alongside new boss encounters, players gained access to rare building components, enabling bunker upgrades.

Major Update 2: Operation Overhaul
Player feedback shaped Operation Overhaul, which revamped game mechanics and introduced formidable mini-bosses across all maps. Alongside new enemies, a powerful new mercenary, Hogshead, joined the roster. Explosive barrels littered maps, adding an extra layer of strategy to combat. Mercenary abilities were fine-tuned, offering improved squad dynamics, while players embarked on recovery runs for better loot.

Major Update 3: Evolution
The Evolution update brought a groundbreaking change to the research and trait systems. The Genome Lab 2.0 allowed players to choose specific traits for their cloned commanders, offering new levels of customization and synergy. This update also introduced new traits, squad-building strategies, and the ability to configure commander clones with pre-selected traits.

A brand-new operation mode, Boot Camp, was introduced, where commanders must prove their qualifications in the Proving Grounds before tackling elite operations. With these additions, commanders could now unlock and build out bunker rooms, merc gear, and new traits.

Commanders gained access to active weapons they could directly control, adding a fresh layer of strategy. These new weapons, ranging from the Leaf Blower to the Quaker Hammer, allow players to manage hordes of enemies more effectively. The separation of Dashes, Traits, and Weapons enable deeper squad build customization, while emergent synergies between weapons and merc behaviors offered more control in battle
