March 4, 2025 – Ephemeris, developed by Yrdvaab Oy from Oulu, Finland, raises hundreds of thousands of euros from Germany.
The real-time space strategy game Ephemeris, developed by Tuomas Pöyhtäri from Oulu, has received substantial funding. Thanks to the game’s new German financiers, the development of the game will continue according to plan, and Ephemeris will also see a Steam Early Access release at a later date.
“While our IndieGoGo campaign that we started last autumn did not reach its funding target, something much better happened as a result. Thanks to the campaign and the related news coverage, we were able to reach financiers who are passionate about the gaming industry and wanted to help the game succeed. The 200,000 euros in funding that we have raised is many times larger than our crowdfunding target and will also allow game development to proceed at an accelerated pace, since we will now be able to expand our team”, Pöyhtäri says.
Ephemeris is a 4X space strategy game that features real-time space combat and a realistic physics engine. The game, slated for release on Windows computers, has been in development for more than four years already, and the developer is targeting an Early Access release within the next year.
