June 27, 2023 - Hooded Horse descends from the mountains to proclaim the latest from Fata Deum, its upcoming highly anticipated god game. The main focus of the past few months has been on improving the UI, finishing the game’s AI opponents, and working on the campaign, and developer 42 Bits Entertainment is ready to share the testament of its latest milestone.
Four distinct rival gods themed around the concepts of violence, deceit, fertility, and pleasure are now fully implemented into Fata Deum, designed to challenge the players in unique ways:
- Violence will rain down destruction and amass armies
- Deceit deals in curses and gets their opponents to attack each other
- Fertility enjoys growth and progress
- Pleasure just wants to have fun
Not only do these AI act on their own, but they will also respond to the player’s actions and offer feedback. These AI personalities also feature heavily in the game’s campaign, and developer 42 Bit Entertainment has been working on many of the cutscenes that will underpin the single-player story.
Add to this the new UI features, a new map, achievements, and other quality-of-life improvements; Fata Deum is one step closer to ascending to its rightful place in the heavens. You can read more about the game’s progress in the latest developer diary.
