INK INSIDE, the CO-OP action RPG with the heart of a Saturday Morning Cartoon developed by Blackfield Entertainment and published by Entalto Publishing, has quickly reached a surprising milestone within their first week of launching. Currently at over 12,500 downloads, the demo for the game, Ink Inside: First Page has seen over 3000 concurrent players with hundreds still watching the launch stream every day since its release. Since launching last Thursday, Ink Inside has rocketed up the top 10 list of active players on Steam with a vibrantly colorful demo featuring a cursing fairy princess and gameplay that feels like classic Zelda, but with dodgeballs.
Created by some of the minds behind Steven Universe: Unleash the Light, INK INSIDE’s unique combat system lets you fight back against “sog” monsters that have been invading a children’s notebook by hitting them in the face with dodgeball “CORES” Hold and aim your attack before letting go at just the right time to trigger unique weapon “perks” - then get in close and knock the wet out of them with a melee combo.
Get even more buff by collecting new gear, unlocking stronger abilities, and filling your COOL MOVES bar to BREAK THE RULES and deal extra damage by smashing through the invisible wall protecting your enemies.
Announced on their Steam page Monday, Dec. 16th, the amount of players enjoying the free demo is enormous, making the game's active player base larger than more familiar titles like Hell Divers 2. With an average play time of 9 hours across the thousands of new players - the demo features unique gameplay married with hilarious cutscenes and a talented cast of voice actors including Brian David Gilbert (Polygon’s “Unraveled,” Dropout), and Deneen Melody (Neon Genesis Evangelion, Sword Art Online).
