Grand Rapids, Michigan - September 9th, 2021 - FINJI is very excited to announce that the award-winning game NIGHT IN THE WOODS is available today on iOS, thanks to the team at Secret Lab.
On the off chance that you’re not already familiar with the game, NIGHT IN THE WOODS is an adventure game where you play as a 19 year old cat who comes home to her small rural town after dropping out of college. The game focuses on exploration, story, and characters, featuring over 100+ characters to meet and hang out with across the vibrant world of Possum Springs.
First published on Playstation 4 and PC Storefronts in 2017, NIGHT IN THE WOODS has since come to Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and now iOS. The game won multiple awards, including the Seamus McNally Grand Prize at the Independent Games Festival and the BAFTA and IGF for Narrative, both in 2018.
We’re also able to offer interviews with Scott Benson, co-creator of NIGHT IN THE WOODS, as well as with John Manning founder of Secret Lab, and the developer of Yarnspinner, the narrative tool used to create NIGHT IN THE WOODS. Manning also did all of the development work to bring this pc/console game to iOS.
More details about NIGHT IN THE WOODS can be found on the official website here, as well as more details on FINJI’s upcoming projects here.

About the Developers
Scott Benson and Bethany Hockenberry are a creative team that have worked on all kinds of things over the years but nowadays mostly make video games. They’re also married, which is convenient. They live in a small town in western Pennsylvania with their two cats.
Scott Benson is a self-taught illustrator, animator, writer, and game dev. Before working in games he did everything from designing band t shirts to freelance animation to washing windows to tattoo design. He lives in a small town in western Pennsylvania with his wife and creative partner, along with their two cats, who are also reasonably creative.
Bethany Hockenberry is an artist and crafter, writer and game dev. She went to school but not for games. Before doing what she does now she worked many jobs from home health care to driving around the eastern US selling hand-embroidered plush. She grew up in central PA and moved all the way over to western PA where she lives in an old house with her husband and creative partner, as well as their two cats.
