Once a vibrant ocean paradise, the world of Ma’een has been corrupted by mysterious dark entities. Players will take on the role of a hero tasked with restoring balance, wielding the power of light to dispel the darkness and uncover the secrets of a lost kingdom. Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree tells the story of two mythical creatures in Arabian folklore: Bahamut, a colossal whale, and Falak, a giant serpent. Together, they came into existence to maintain harmony, embodying light and darkness. The titular Waqwaq Tree is responsible for birthing the creatures of Ma’een through its fruit.
Inspired by Arabic calligraphy, Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree features a smooth, brush-like movement system that lends itself to environmental puzzles that must be solved by drawing shapes using the player character. Harness the power of light, and decipher ancient relics and inscriptions to unlock the secrets of this long-forgotten kingdom, where art and adventure intertwine.

The game has already been nominated for and won multiple awards during development. It took home the ‘Graphics Galore’ award at the DevCom Indie Awards last year.
