2P Games and Leaves Games announce that The Dark Cave, a demanding pixel art turn-based strategy, deck-building roguelike, will release on Steam and Itch.io for $4.99 / €4.99, with a two week launch discount of 15% on July 16. Players will have to make calculated decisions and carefully plan their movements as they combat in two 3x3 grids, with limited movement and a wide array of weapons and abilities. Remember, every move is crucial and there aren't any easy decisions to make while in the dark cave! Players that want to try the game before its release can already play its demo on Steam and Itch.io (demo on Steam / demo on Itch.io).

The Dark Cave is a pixel art, turn-based strategy game that mixes deck-building and roguelike mechanics. Players must choose between three characters, each with 20+ upgradable abilities. The Dark Cave offers a unique experience in every run, thanks to the combination of characters and abilities plus 20+ enhancement effects (that have a permanent effect, even with different characters), 20+ potions (disposable but with an immediate effect), and 40+ relics (they give you a buff only for the current run). Choose your combat style carefully to reach the innermost rooms of the cave!
In The Dark Cave, players will have limited movement during battles, making every move count. Anticipating enemy movements (and attacks) will be paramount, as well as each decision between combats: do I heal now or acquire a powerful new skill? Should I take that dangerous route and surprise my enemies even if I die?
