We’re announcing that there will be a Legends of Castile Kickstarter campaign on February!
Kickstarter is probably the most known crowdfunding service of the world, it has been used for funding thousands of videogames, and what is more important, for similar adventure games, with great success.
Why Crowdfunding?
Torrezno Entertainment is actually a solo dev studio with some help. I take care of most of the development by doing the script, puzzle design, art, animation, character design, programming… etc. However, there are some things that I cannot do, like music, sound design, voice over, proofreading, more translations… and they are needed so we can deliver to the players the professional and top quality adventure game that they deserve.
In the campaign, we’ll explain in a detailed way how the funds will be used. Therefore, either the players have been following the game development or not, this could interest them, because not only they’ll be able to help the development of the game by pre-purchasing the game, but they will be able to have juicy rewards, specially if they like to collect adventure game physical goods, like a big box, manual, badges, and more!

How can players help?
The moment when we are going to need the players help to make this dream a reality will come very soon, in February. For the moment, it’s very important that they enter to the Kickstarter pre launch page and tap on Notify me on launch button. That way, the players will be advised when the campaign launches (there will be an early bird pre-purchasing discount for the digital copy of the game).

How is the game development going?
Lately, we couldn’t show much new visual content, because we have been working very hard on the full game script, which first draft is finally finished. The game will consist on a classic 5 acts story, and the estimated length will be 6-8 hours. Moreover, puzzle design is practically finished as well.

What is Legends of Castile game about?
Legends of Castile is a fantasy and comedy point and click adventure set in Spain in the 19th century, in the region known as Castile. It's the story of a village girl who has to investigate the myths and legends of Castile in order to fulfill a very particular dream, to become a nun. You will be able to advance in the story by solving puzzles and riddles integrated with it, meeting all kinds of characters, defeating fantastic creatures using your wit, and exploring places all around Castile.
Who is the protagonist of this story?
The main character of this adventure is María, a young, fearless, though clumsy Castilian girl. The story begins when just after a long night with her friends, she has a vision of the Virgin Mary, after which she decides to become a nun. Therefore, María goes to a convent in Burgos and requests to be ordained as a nun. However, in order to fulfill that dream, her future mother superior will assign her a very important mission. She will have to investigate the folk mythological creatures that have been appearing around the territory of Castile, and collect an item from each of them to prove their existence so the abbot will take action and finish with their threat to the population of Castile... and Christianity.
