Game River is excited to announce that their highly anticipated and critically acclaimed card-based adventure RPG, "Out of Hands," is set to launch globally on Steam on April 22, 2025.

"Out of Hands" invites players into a deeply personal and unsettling journey through nightmares. Developed by Game River, the game casts players as a protagonist trapped in a series of bizarre dreamscapes following the loss of a loved one.
Within these eerie realms, players will confront nightmarish entities born from negative emotions, battling to recover lost memories and uncover deeply buried emotional scars. The protagonist's fractured mind manifests as three conflicting voices, constantly influencing decisions that could lead towards confronting the truth, succumbing to illusion, or falling into an unspeakable abyss.
"Out of Hands" features a complete storyline spanning four distinct nightmares, complemented by carefully crafted side quests and extensive map exploration. While engaging in strategic card battles, players will also experience RPG progression, growing stronger as they overcome challenges. Exploration and narrative choices will directly impact the game's branching storyline and ultimate ending, driven by the internal conflict influenced by the three voices within the protagonist's mind.
The evolving deck-building system requires players to strategically manage their custom decks within a limited number of actions to counter enemy attacks and identify opportunities to strike at their core.
"Out of Hands" presents a striking and surreal aesthetic that deliberately blurs the lines between reality and the dream world. The game incorporates a vast number of real-life photographs as assets, including the symbolic "hands" and miniature model scenes, seamlessly integrated with hand-drawn level designs. This distinctive art style reinforces the game's narrative themes of teetering between illusion and reality.
