EVIL RISES IN NEW VINDICTUS RAID “THE ONE WHO PROTECTS THE ALTAR”

Heroes must stop a malevolent ritual in Vindictus’ continued story, and level caps rise for players to grow their skills

June 26, 2024 – Classic hack n’ slash RPG Vindictus welcomes players to continue the veteran online game’s exhilarating narrative with the addition of Season 4 Episode 9, “Desperate Deterrent.” This action-packed update expands players’ maximum level from 115 to 120 and features a thrilling new raid, “The One Who Protects the Altar,” which only the highest-level players can attempt due to the sheer skill needed to face the brutal boss Sreng and his mighty army of giants.

“Desperate Deterrent” is the latest story update in NEXON America’s Vindictus. For over 14 years, players worldwide have continued to return to the expansive world of Vindictus to explore the wild landscapes inspired by Celtic mythology and embark on epic adventures featuring real-time combat and deadly monsters to face off against. The hack n’ slash game boasts stunning visuals, unique characters and a wide variety of customizable gear, allowing players to forge their own paths to becoming a legendary hero.

“The One Who Protects the Altar” Raid
Only the strongest heroes at level 120 can try their hand at the latest raid found in the Mount Celsina region of Toward Taratha, and those who complete the battle before Tuesday, July 9 will receive bonus Evil Cores. With a group of highly skilled players, heroes can embark on a journey to stop the resurrection of Lord Balor, but first must face the boss monster Sreng, who hopes to bring the lord to life. A fearsome foe, Sreng is a mighty commander capable of brutal attacks using nothing but his own body and the earth around him and is assisted by his formidable army of giants.

Increased Level Cap
With the level cap expansion of 120 also comes new “Uaithne” weapons and armor, each with powerful stats. Heroes can obtain this equipment from the raid battle, “The One Who Protects the Altar,” or through High Expertise equipment crafting. Additionally, players can earn Boxtryoshkas and other in-game items each time they move up from level 116 to 120 until Tuesday, July 23 in honor of the new level cap. The grind to reach level 120 will also pay off as players can earn even more rewards including the prestigious “Title: Powerful Paragon.”

Limited-Time Rewards
In addition to “The One Who Protects the Altar,” players who complete Red Moon’s Energy or Niflheim region raids, and Special Dungeons and Royal Army raids before Tuesday, July 9 will receive Chieftain’s Proficiency Sweep Coupons. These coupons can be exchanged at Expertise Stalls for boxes that contain Chieftain’s Stamps and Chieftain’s Rapid Support Potions. Filling the shape of the Chieftain with Chieftain’s Stamps can unlock Blessing Stone Collection Boxes and Superior Enhancement Elixir Boxes as bonuses.

Also, players can use Plink Plink Vending Machine Tokens to receive special missions until Tuesday, July 23. Upon completing these missions, players will receive Plink Plink Vending Machine Coupons that can be exchanged for Clone Outfit Crafting Boxes and 100% Completely Bound Success Enchant Boxes.
