2024 Mod Of The Year Search Has Begun!
---
December 1st, 2024 - 23rd Annual Mod of the Year Awards have officially kicked off. A voting booth has been added to all mod profiles on ModDB, and for the next four weeks player votes will determine the top 100 mods of 2024 (announced December 11) and the overall winner announced shortly after Christmas.
Last year, after 82,000 of the communities votes were tallied, it was the single-player stealth adventure Thief: The Black Parade that took out 1st place, followed closely by the popular Entropy : Zero - Uprising and Half-Life : MMod taking out 2nd and 3rd respectively. These mods alongside the remaining top 10 of 2023, join previous winners including, Brutal Doom, DayZ, Garry’s Mod, Counter-Strike and others which have gone on to become household names.
For many years mods have played a huge part in the gaming community, offering a huge pipeline of unique and innovative content to explore and play. As we close up 2024, we invite your readers to join us in celebrating the remarkable effort the modding community puts into their creations. To make voting easy, we have prepared a year in review showcasing the top mod releases each quarter.
Only the community can decide who wins in 2024 - here's how it'll all play out:
- Phase 1 Nominations Begin: NOW!
- Phase 2 The TOP 100: 11th December
- Editors Choice Award: 22nd December
- Players Choice Best Unreleased: 27th December
- Players Choice Mod of the Year: 29th of December
