- Koumajou Remilia Ⅱ: Stranger's Requiem

Koumajou Remilia Ⅱ: Stranger's Requiem is a direct sequel to the side-scrolling action game Koumajou Remilia: Scarlet Symphony, a spin-off of the Touhou Project (東方Project) series that’s received love from fans around the world. It is scheduled to be released to the globe on Steam and Nintendo Switch™ on December 14th.

Sakuya Izayoi, one of Remilia’s devoted followers, takes the lead in this game, set to the backdrop of her heading out to the Scarlet Devil Castle in search of news of the vanished Remilia, the inhabitants of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and the spring that won’t come. Banpai Akira (晩杯あきら), popular illustrator and artist for the previous game, continues to contribute to this series, adding a bold darkness to the design of the characters as this second entry breathes new life into the series through the enhanced graphics, sound, movement, and unique action elements that add to the familiar experience of darting through the stage while dodging a hail of bullets.

With the announcement of the global release date of Koumajou Remilia Ⅱ: Stranger's Requiem, CFK has opened pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch™ physical package to be sold in Japan. With the beginning of the pre-order process, CFK is working with a number of Japanese online and offline stores to prepare unique perks available only in that particular package, increasing the value of each Nintendo Switch™ package purchased by players.

- Ninja Issen (忍者一閃)

Ninja Issen (忍者一閃), telling of the actions carried out by outcast ninja Kiba, was developed by one-man Korean indie developer Asteroid-J under the newly-crafted banner of a “hyper ninja action” genre. Make use of all the captivating ninja skills you have equipped as you experience the pleasure of wiping out waves of oncoming enemies with a single slash and defeating a number of bosses as they use a variety of relentless attack patterns to block your way. The developer plans to launch its official version to Steam this year.

With its cyberpunk virtual future background created with a retro filter, Ninja Issen (忍者一閃), bursting with one-on-many agile ninja action sequences, has received steady interest from Korean and international gamers alike since its release. It also received the Best Indie Game award at the Made with Unity Korea Awards 2022, a contest hosted by the Unity Technologies Korea association for games made with the Unity engine, drawing attention once more.

Ninja Issen (忍者一閃) has released a number of demo versions and is currently being improved for its official release with balance and difficulty adjustments, as well as new cutscene illustrations and more, all based on feedback from gamers. As it enhances the unique hyper ninja action style included within the game, it keeps adding new stages, giant bosses, and more—all for players to enjoy.

- Motesolo: No Girlfriend Since Birth

Motesolo: No Girlfriend Since Birth, a first-person interactive movie, was created by Korean indie game developer INDICAVA INTERACTIVE. One late afternoon, you (the gamer) happen to overhear a conversation between a man and a woman at a café in Seoul and suddenly come up with a daring plan to jump into their perspectives and help them escape their lives as singles.

Motesolo: No Girlfriend Since Birth won the Indie Game Award at the 2021 Korea Game Awards and has demonstrated its popularity and entertainment value by receiving a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. It’s slated for a global release onto the Nintendo Switch™ to convey all the fun this game has to offer to even more gamers.

- Some Some Convenience Store
Some Some Convenience Store is a visual novel created by Talesshop, a developer beloved by fans for putting out a variety of games, and it tells the story of the new relationships formed when one man just happens to install a dating app called Some Some.

In this game, you step into the shoes of the convenience-store-running protagonist, balancing relationships with business as you decorate the store, manage promotions, and complete quests. The game has been praised for its faithful depiction, conceptually and space-wise, of the convenience stores we visit so often while also bringing a fun spin to the genre..

Some Some Convenience Store is due to land on the Nintendo Switch™ within the year, but it has already been applauded by gamers on Steam for its gameplay, receiving an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating. With its launch onto the Nintendo Switch™ platform, even more gamers will be able to experience the joys contained within Some Some Convenience Store.

- A Street Cat's Tale 2: Outside is dangerous
A Street Cat's Tale 2: Outside is dangerous, a spinoff sequel to A Street Cat’s Tale, the first entry into the series, was launched to the globe on Steam on June 2nd of this year. Unlike the previous entry with its story centered around a stray cat that lost its mother, this entry, developed by Korean indie game company Ppiyo Studio, is an adventure game that tells the story of Cinnamon, softened by life as a house cat, but now having to deal with new problems out on the streets through Sokoban-style puzzles.

The previous game, A Street Cat’s Tale, started out on mobile before moving to Steam and Nintendo Switch™, where it was met with many favorable reviews. It was selected as the best indie game at the 2019 Made With Unity Awards, applauded for its outstanding gameplay.

Building upon the proven gameplay of the previous game, A Street Cat’s Tale 2: Outside is dangerous paints the picture of the alley cats and house cats abandoned by their owners, looked down upon with cold glares as they navigate a society that’s ignorant of their situation and lacks any sort of responsibility. It tells an emotion-filled story of “unprovoked attacks” and “conflict forced upon those who just wish to help.” CFK has made the decision to permanently lower the price of the game to $13.99 USD on Steam in order for more players to be able to experience it. Following its release on Steam, the game is slated to be released on Nintendo Switch™ at a later date.

- ARCHETYPE BLUE
ARCHETYPE BLUE is a rogue-lite deck-building game developed by Korean indie game company Codename Bom. Set in the well-known medieval world of King Arthur, it tells the story of working together as part of a group to overcome adversity.

ARCHETYPE BLUE recently opened up its Steam page in order to release the details of the game to the world and also won the One-Pick Indie award for excellence at the recent BIC 2023 showcase in Korea that they participated in.

With its deck-building elements, ARCHETYPE BLUE provides the strategic fun of recruiting and deploying your party members to the perfect places and fighting with a combination of cards, each with their own special characteristics. To add a unique spin, the game adds honor, mental fortitude, and reputation to the common stats like strength and stamina, so players must be wary of the relationships they form with their party members and the effects those factors have on party strength. In doing so, it stimulates the players’ constant desire for challenge by giving them an endless stream of choices for mixing and matching.

- Throw Anything: Radiation Zombies
Throw Anything: Radiation Zombies is a 3D rogue-lite action game developed by Korean game company Visual Light that is coming to the Nintendo Switch soon™. The game was released in Steam Early Access on October 17th of last year.

Throw Anything: Radiation Zombies is an attempt by Visual Light to expand the world, platform, and genre they created with their first entry into their original series, Throw Anything. It’s a direct sequel that follows the same world and protagonist of the original game, Throw Anything, and is expanding from only VR to the Nintendo Switch™ platform to bring in more gamers. In addition, it’s moving from the FPS system of the previous game to third person action to create a more thrilling environment.

In staying faithful to the rogue-lite genre, the game captures the fun of having to repeatedly fight off enemies, collect items, and develop a character while adding a fresh take on action as players must fight off the waves that pour in from all directions with their equipped arm units. A particular feature for players to enjoy is the character from the previous game meeting new NPCs as the world unfolds, watching the exciting storyline unfurls before them.
