Today, game developer Nomad Games officially announced that they are developing a brand new version of Talisman: Digital Edition, based on the upcoming 5th Edition of the physical board game from Avalon Hill, licensed by Games Workshop. Alongside this announcement, the studio has made the current version of Talisman: Digital Edition available for free permanently on both PC and mobile devices.
Originally released in 1983 by Games Workshop, Talisman is a fantasy board game where players embark on an epic quest through a land full of dangerous enemies and treacherous challenges. The latest version of the board game is the upcoming 5th Edition, which according to publisher Avalon Hill, “maintains what die-hard fans know and love about the Magical Quest Game but features stunning artwork, redesigned figures, and more streamlined and accessible gameplay.”
Talisman: Digital 5th Edition is the upcoming digital adaptation of this 5th Edition of Talisman, and is being developed by Nomad Games in collaboration with Games Workshop. Building upon the previous work done by Nomad Games, Talisman: Digital 5th Edition will bring a wide range of overhauls and new features to the game, alongside adapting all the new gameplay changes and design updates featured in 5th Edition.

To celebrate the announcement of Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, Nomad Games today also have made the current version of Talisman: Digital Edition free on PC and mobile devices. To reflect the differences between the two versions, it has been renamed to Talisman: Digital Classic Edition.

Talisman: Classic Edition can now be downloaded for free from Steam, GOG, the Google Play Store and the App Store.
