The dynamic story-driven action game KIBORG shines at Steam Infinite Replayability Fest his week with its free demo

13th May – Independent Studio Sobaka Games proudly announces that their new upcoming ambitious project KIBORG takes part in the Steam Infinite Replayability Fest which runs until the 19th of May. KIBORG is an explosive mix of a brutal action game, a rogue-lite with endless replayability and a narrative-driven time management game set in a dark sci-fi setting. As a player, you will take on the role of an unstoppable war machine leading a resistance group on a distant prison planet. Experience the fast-paced, procedurally generated mission extravaganza for yourself in a free demo and face the consequences of your decisions as the story progresses, whether you succeed or fail.

In KIBORG, time is always moving forward. Each mission takes a day, regardless of the outcome, and every week brings a new challenge. Players must carefully choose their actions, balancing the risks and rewards. There is no "game over" screen to see or previous save to reload. Missions are mostly procedurally generated, so it’s always a surprise what calamities and enemies you'll face. With dozens of enemy types, hundreds of combat modifiers, and a variety of non-combat situations, no two missions are the same.

Players take on the role of Morgan Lee, the leader of a group of resistance fighters on the prison planet Sigma struggling to survive after a disastrous event. The time has come to take charge and show what you're capable of. Use the clones and build them into cybernetic warriors, as you cut through hordes of bloodthirsty mutants, drugged criminals, and mechanized soldiers. Gather resources for permanent upgrades, recruit allies, forge alliances, and research forbidden technologies to prepare for the inevitable catastrophe that awaits you.

Key features:

  • Tech’s the limit
Use clones with nano-skeletons which can absorb technology from the fallen enemies and turn it into a variety of cyber implants. With 7 implant slots and 8 possible implants, each clone can have thousands of combinations, making each build unique. These implants not only change the player's style of gameplay but also their appearance - something that no rogue-like game has done before. And, as if that wasn't enough, there are hundreds of augmentations – invisible micro-implants that don't take up any slots – to fine-tune your build even further!

  • A helping bare hand
Hand-to-hand combat is intense and brutal, with a variety of defensive and offensive techniques. Dodge enemy attacks, block or parry them, mix up different combinations and special moves, and use the environment to take down your opponents. Swing melee weapons or just shoot them in the face with powerful firearms to gain an advantage. But be careful with your resources: ammo is limited, melee weapons break easily, and special moves drain stamina. Basic attacks help recharge energy.

  • Take your time
Your base is your fortress, a haven between missions. Chat with your allies (all with strong, eclectic personalities), listen in to their conversations or to news broadcasts, meditate in the garden, admire your collection of trophies or train in virtual reality to improve your skills. Craft power-ups to help you in battle.
