SMITE 2 showcases the future of Conquest

Details about Conquest, the first playable mode available in SMITE 2.

 

 
Titan Forge Games has today shared the details about Conquest, the first playable mode available in SMITE 2. In a deep dive video, Senior Level Designer Matthew Barcas and Lead Environment Artist Aaron Kim discuss the challenge of resetting Conquest after a decade of its evolution in SMITE to offer players a whole new experience in the upcoming sequel. The Titan Forge team is inviting players to experience the changes to Conquest firsthand as SMITE 2 gears up for the first Alpha Weekends this spring.

Focusing on core components of the game mode, the team has improved lanes, towers, minions, and jungle camps. Compared to SMITE, SMITE 2's map allows for greater creative collaboration. This enables more granular changes without overhauling the entire layout.

Interactive elements have been revamped to deepen player engagement and strategy. Jungle monsters and the Fire Giant now level up with each defeat, with the buffs also offering increasing player rewards. The Gold Fury now holds greater significance in the late game as it grants permanent benefits to conquering teams. Additionally, interaction with the Warhorn will buff the team’s minions.
 



          

 

SMITE 2 is the next generation of the beloved third-person action MOBA, SMITE. Built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5, the sequel aims to deliver a truly next-gen experience. Newcomers and veterans will discover reimagined Gods, updated audio, gameplay changes and overhauled Relic and Item systems for deeper strategy and more impactful combat.


Players can now wishlist SMITE 2 on Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Epic Games Store, and register for alpha test access at SMITE2.com.
